Our holiday stationery set features artwork by Vaclav E. Vane. Vane was widely known for his ability to sketch and letter with a pen. Vane was born in Bohemia in 1863 and came to Cedar Rapids at the age of 12. He worked as the Cedar Rapids city auditor for 32 years and all the while pursuing his passion for calligraphy and penmanship.
