Czech Garnet Jewelry

Bohemian (Czech) garnet, or in technical term pyrop, is an important and beloved part of the cultural heritage for people of Czech and Slovak descent. The Czech garnet is considered to be a Czech national gemstone. Its blood-red color made it a popular gemstone of kings or noble classes of Bohemian lands, as well as it was made part of the folk costume. It is still made into a traditional or more modern-style jewelry.
