Whither Little Path and Other Authentic Folk Songs from the Czech and Slovak Republics (Music Sheet Collection)

In her edition of Whither Little Path sheet music book, Professor Turechek compiled and arranged Czech songs for educational purposes. Many pieces are in small binary forms in major keys and in 3/4 time. Lyrics show Czechs’ love of nature. Songs have simple accompaniments to preserve the folk element and to facilitate group singing. Ten songs from this collection were first published by the National Recreation Association in 1943. The collection is still a great example of traditional folk songs.  Accompanying CD is also available for purchase.
