Authors Petr Čornej and Jiří Pokorný filled this petite book with a wealth of historic dates thanks to their skillful refinement and distillation of profound body of facts and knowledge. The following account will concentrate systematically on the historical development of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia, and consider Slovakia only after the birth of Czechoslovakia, mentioning earlier Slovak history only when relevant. Book is an excellent reference.
