The second genealogy book by Diana Bigelow explores the lives of ordinary Czech women during the long 19th century. Besides following the evolution of women in the 19^th century from their subordinate positions in a patriarchal society to the early 20th century woman claiming her equal rights, author shines a light on the everyday lives of the common people of rural Bohemia and illustrates her new research with biographies of local women.
