Krtek Plush Toys

Made in Brno by Moravská Ústředna, a sheltered workshop for individuals with physical or mental impediments, the plush toys of Krtek and other fairytale characters or animals have always been enchanting children visiting our Museum and store. Hand-made with child-safe materials, plush toys are both entertaining and educational.

Krtek (Little Mole) is an endearing animated cartoon character created by Czech animator, Zdeněk Miler between 1957 and 2002. The first short film with Krtek premiered at the 1957 Venice Film Festival, where it won the award for the best directing achievement. Since then, many generations of Czech, Slovak, and other Central and Eastern European children grew up enjoying Krtek’s adventures.
