Commemorating this important milestone in our nation’s history are the two magnets – each with its distinct design of either federal symbols or immigrant community who helped built our country.
The flat magnet with a newly arrived female immigrant in a traditional folk dress walking towards the welcoming community next to the Museum’s orloj tower is 4.5×3” in size. It was designed by the Iowa artist, Martin Irmiter. The metal magnet was crafted in the U.S. and is 3” in size and features Statue of Liberty, Liberty Bell, American flag and other symbols of the republic.
