Easter Ratchet Noise Maker

During the Lenten season and especially during the Holy Week when the church bells are tied, in the villages and towns of Slovakia and the Czech republic, the folks came up with  a substitute to announce the full hours and times for church mass or service. These wooden ratchets or noise-makers are a reminder of those times and of this long-held tradition. Design variations available.
